Chapter 2: Video Chat

Ever heard of video chat? Of course you have its 2011! Video chat is becoming more and more popular, as companies like Apple beginning to introduce programs like Facetime to handheld devices such as the iPhone 4. But of course not all of us want something that small, and prefer to sit down at the family computer to video call those relatives they've been meaning to chat with for a while. For this, I recommend Skype. A video software thats taken the UK by storm, and is now quite popular here in North America. Skype's new Premium version lets you start a video conference with up to 10 people at a time, or the free traditional version allows you a 2 way call.
Oh ya, did I mention that it's free? You heard me right, the basic version of Skype is free, and the Premium is only 8.99 a month! Of course you can always use basic pre-installed video chat services that come with your PC such as Windows Live Messenger if you for some reason prefer it . . . To download Skype FOR FREE click here.
